History, mystery, and a sharp eye for detail — that’s what Marc Myrsell brings to the Sasquatch conversation. We’re thrilled to welcome Marc as one of our featured speakers at SasqWatch: Beyond the Footprint!
Who He Is
Marc is a longtime Pacific Northwest researcher with a special passion for digging into historical Bigfoot encounters. He has pored over old newspaper clippings, archives, and forgotten stories, bringing fresh life to legendary accounts. His research has helped reconnect the modern Sasquatch community with the incidents that shaped how we think about the mystery today.
Most notably, Marc is recognized for his deep work on the 1924 Ape Canyon incident — one of the most famous Bigfoot encounters in Washington State history. By revisiting the site, cross-referencing old maps and testimonies, and carefully piecing together details, Marc has become a leading voice in understanding what really may have happened that night on Mount St. Helens.
What to Expect at SasqWatch
When Marc takes the stage, attendees can expect:
A historian’s approach to Sasquatch research — blending fieldwork with old records and primary sources.

A reminder that Sasquatch isn’t just a modern mystery — it’s a phenomenon woven into our region’s past for more than a century.
Why You Shouldn’t Miss It
Marc’s work connects the dots between folklore, history, and modern research. His storytelling brings the past alive, giving context to why Sasquatch continues to fascinate us today. If you’ve ever wanted to understand the roots of the legend, Marc’s talk is a must-see.
