A lifelong enthusiast from the Pacific Northwest, Tim has served as a technical writer, shop owner, industry representative, event announcer, and product specialist, earning a reputation as a knowledgeable and trusted voice in the off-road community.

Tim's passion for the outdoors began at a young age and extends far beyond the driver's seat. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoys hiking, mountain biking, fishing, hunting, gold prospecting, wild foraging, and mushroom hunting. His love of exploration and backcountry adventure has fueled a lifetime of discovery throughout the forests, mountains, deserts, and remote landscapes of North America. Like many Pacific Northwest adventurers, he also keeps a watchful eye out for the elusive North American primate known as Sasquatch.

A passionate advocate for education, safety, and responsible recreation, Tim currently serves as Training Officer for the Pacific Northwest Four Wheel Drive Association (PNW4WDA) and is a charter member of the 4 Wheel Drive Association of British Columbia Trainer Team. He has helped develop and deliver training programs focused on vehicle operation, advanced recovery techniques, trail stewardship, and safe off-road practices. Further strengthening his expertise, Tim completed the WreckMaster recovery and towing curriculum through Level 5 certification.

An avid adventurer, Tim has explored trails and backcountry routes in 11 countries throughout North, Central, and South America, gaining firsthand experience across a diverse range of terrains, climates, and off-road cultures. Today, he serves as the face and lead content creator for Northridge4x4, where his technical videos, product demonstrations, recovery training, and trail-focused content have accumulated millions of views and helped educate off-road enthusiasts around the world.

Known throughout the industry as “Tech Tim,” he is recognized not only for his technical expertise but also for his ability to translate complex concepts into practical, easy-to-understand instruction. His dedication to mentoring others, promoting safe and responsible four-wheeling, and strengthening the off-road community has made him well respected throughout the industry as an educator, ambassador, and advocate.

My Moto:

Embrace the experience. Just remember, from trail to summit, forest roads to singletrack, on four wheels, two wheels, or two feet, training, planning, and preparation can make the difference between a great adventure and an emergency.
